Struggling Today

I really am struggling with what to write today.  There has been a lack of excitement in my life this week, I've been to work, come home again and so it goes on.  One thing that has caught my eye and imagination is hand felting.  A patient came in this week with the most gorgeous handbag.  Her daughter had knitted and then felted.  I think I might have a go at this, I can knit so why not.  Might be the start of something wonderful.  I need something to fill my time, this could be it.

It came to light last night that the boys bunkbeds were broken, well the top bed.  One slat was in half, this was due to a huge knot in the wood so would've happened at some stage.  The other problem was the pieces of wood along either side of the bed to hold the slats was coming away.  Due to the boys throwing themselves onto the bed I reckon.  So this morning me and Nath took the top bunk off and took it apart.  We removed all the slats and put screws all along the wood which the slats sit on, hoping this will secure and strengthen it.  I used TurboDrive screws, totally brilliant, no need for pilot holes and did the job a treat.  Put the slats back on moving them slightly to compensate for one being removed and put the bed back together.  Easy!  I have to say I was quite impressed with my DIY skills today.

I'm full of cold at the moment, totally bunged up and sounding dreadful, this needs to be gone before next Thursday, I'm putting it down to excitement.

ONLY 6 DAYS TO GO...TAKE THAT
