What a roller coaster week and it's only Tuesday. I've decided to call it a day at work, I can't work in the unit anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's not the work. I can't work under a manager who has absolutely no people skills whatsoever. It's got me so down now that I find myself getting stressed about work on a Monday before the weekend has even started. The very thought of going in a listening to that gob has sent me over the edge. I now have the task of finding another job, my first port of call, The Nuffield. Something will come up I'm sure, in the mean time I shall just keep quiet and do my job as best I can.
Now, what with the excitement of Take That this week, I now have the added excitement of having an interview to become an Olympic Volunteer. 240,000 applied so I reckon I've done pretty well to get this far. I have no idea what I could be doing, but just to be part of it would be fantastic. So watch this space, I'll keep you informed. Interview is on the 14th August in Plymouth, better put that on my calendar.
I had a chat with one of our surgeons today. He asked if I'd ever considered having my eyes lasered. It's all very well but he charges in excess of £3000. I would never have it done in the high street that's for sure but it's a lot of money. It has got me thinking about contact lenses though, I've used them before and see so much better, I need to get my lids cleared up first so I think another referral to Miss Irvine for steroid treatment is in order.
Lots of positive things going on this week which is good, also a trip to Edinburgh is on the cards, so happy days for now.
My felting book is on the way, something else to keep me occupied.
